You will meet with your microneedling expert practitioner to plan a treatment pathway that will determine the most appropriate technology to suit your bespoke treatment journey. A medical history will be taken and your personal treatment goals will be explored.

2. Treatment Plan

On the day of treatment, photos will be taken of the treatment area so that these can be compared to your results photos at 12 weeks post treatment. Depending on which technology has been chosen, you may have numbing cream applied. We always want our patients to be comfortable during and after treatment. During the procedure, the microneedling pen glides gently over your skin, creating micro-injuries to trigger the healing process. A specialised serum is applied to enhance the results and maximise hydration.

Exion microneedling is a non-invasive treatment that uses radio frequency (RF) energy to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture. It can be used on the face and body to treat wrinkles, scars, pigmentation, and more.

Microneedling treatments are minimally invasive but the numbing cream that we use on the area ensures you are comfortable during treatment. You might feel a warm, slightly prickly sensation in the treated area.

You might see noticeable improvements about one month after treatment, with the most significant results after three months.

After microneedling you can expect smoother, firmer and more youthful looking skin. Over time as collagen levels increase, fine lines and scars diminish, revealing a radiant and more even complexion. Results can be enhanced when combined with Hydrafacial.

The number of treatments you need depends on your skin concerns and goals, but you might need 4–6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart.

No, there’s no downtime after Exion treatments. You can resume your normal activities immediately.

You should avoid topical skin irritants like retinoids for 3–5 days before treatment. You should also avoid irritating treatments like waxing for 1–2 weeks before treatment.
