What is Morpheus8?
With little downtime, Morpheus8 is the ultimate non-surgical treatment designed to address the signs of ageing, whilst also enhancing skin quality.
Morpheus8 is a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency. The Morpheus8 applicator safely and comfortably brings the two together, resulting in one of the most effective anti-ageing skin rejuvenation and skin tightening and lifting treatments.
Microneedling and radiofrequency work together to create controlled trauma to trigger the body’s healing and skin firming response, boosting collagen and elastin and tightening the skin at a deep level, so results are long lasting. There are three treatment sessions, three to four weeks apart in the treatment programme , with optimum results seen at approximately 12 weeks after the final treatment.

1. Your Consultation
You will meet with your Morpheus8 expert practitioner to plan a treatment pathway, including an outline of the number of treatment sessions required and duration between treatments. As a general guide, we recommend a course of three treatments 3-4 weeks apart. Additional treatments to reach specific goals can be discussed with your practitioner.

Photographs from all angles will be taken and then numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area. You can then relax for about 40 minutes before treatment commences. The Morpheus8 handpiece uses microneedles on its surface, which are delivered into the skin at the programmed depth and energy so that pulses of safe radio frequency energy are passed deep into the skin. This produces long term skin tightening and lifting by creating a controlled trauma, which triggers the body’s healing response.

3. Aftercare
Following treatment, the skin will feel warm, so we cool you down with a jet of soothing Cryocool to quickly return the skin to normal temperature and make you super comfortable. Stay hydrated and protect skin from sun for several weeks by wearing a high-strength sunscreen. Avoid exercise and heat, such as saunas and hot baths for a few days. Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup.

The Morpheus8 treatment is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone and sensitive skin due to its advanced technology and unique properties. All patients have a complimentary consultation prior to treatment, where the practitioner will go through a detailed medical history form.
The treatment takes up to 2.5 hours depending on the treatment area and including local anaesthetic application and 45 minutes relaxation while waiting for the cream to provide the numbness to make the treatment most comfortable.
The application of the topical anaesthetic cream to the treatment area ensures that the patient is comfortable. Typically, patients experience a ‘pin prick’ feeling and a mild heat sensation on the skin’s surface.
Patients are advised to avoid excessive sun exposure for at least four weeks prior to treatment. Patients should also avoid deep depth chemical peels and laser resurfacing for 4-6 weeks prior to treatment, with medium depth peels being completed two weeks prior to treatment.
Aspire practitioners will advise patients to follow a particular skincare routine to help achieve best treatment results.
The Morpheus8 treatment is FDA cleared, making it an extremely safe and effective treatment.
Patients may experience some minimal downtime immediately following the treatment. This may include redness of the skin similar to sunburn and mild swelling for up to 48 hours. The skin may become dry and flaky, followed by tiny scabs in the treated areas, but again this will subside after a few days. You will be provided with an aftercare advice sheet to help minimise any downtime.
